Dear Friends,

I am sure, like me, you will have received with thankfulness the news that places of worship can open for public worship from 4th July and we will be planning for the opening of our churches for some form of public worship as soon as we feel it is safe and practical to do so.

We are presently awaiting detailed guidance from the government, the Church of England and our bishops which will help the Ministry Team, the churchwardens and me formulate our plans properly. I am hoping that this will be forthcoming in the next few days.

As soon as I can, I will let you know when, and how, we will be able to worship together in church again. In the meantime, St Mary’s remains open twice a week for personal prayer (Wednesday morning 10am to 2pm  and Saturday afternoon 1pm to 5pm).

We thank God that the virus seems to be in decline in this country. Please continue to pray for those who have died, those who are grieving, those who are sick and those who are caring for them.

With blessings and best wishes,

Steve
