Pastoral Care at St Mary’s
Many of us need a bit of extra help or prayer from time to time, or know of someone who does. If you’re new to St Mary’s or don’t have regular contact with the church, we would still love to help if we can. Below are some examples of the kinds of help that we offer. Our pastoral team will do all they can to help you with the support you need. Contact us here.

At St Mary’s we are committed to the safety of all our members and take Safeguarding seriously. The welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults is of paramount importance to us and we aim to do everything that we can to provide a safe and caring environment whilst they attend our groups and activities. All our children’s and youth leaders, Elders, Readers and Clergy hold current enhanced DBS checks appropriate to their role and receive regular safeguarding training. Our Safeguarding contact is Angela Morley. If you have any concerns about the possible abuse of a child, young person or vulnerable adult, please contact us.
On the 1st February 2018 St Mary’s PCC unanimously agreed to adopt ‘The House of Bishops’ ‘Promoting a Safer Church‘ Safeguarding Policy Statement and ‘The House of Bishops’ and Diocesan Safeguarding Policies and Practice Guide. Further details can be found on the Diocesan Website.
