All over the country, Messy Church is taking off as a new way of engaging with church, for all the family and here in Bures we have a very own Messy Church, meeting seven times a year on the fourth Saturday at 4pm. We share the running of Messy Church with the Baptist Church and we always have a lot of fun.   Parents, Grandparents and children of all ages come together to join in lots of activities, sing lively songs, hear a bible story, and then eat a hearty supper together. There are usually up to six different craft projects on offer each time, painting, sticking, making models, as well as games and plenty of lego.   The shared meal is an important part of Messy Church, it brings the whole community together as one family, and we aim to make it the main meal of the evening.

There is no charge, because we want everyone to be able to come, but we do invite donations to help us to cover the costs. For more information and the latest dates you can find us on Facebook (St Mary’s, Bures, Messy Church), checkout the church website page or take a look at the attached Brochure (click below) which gives details of all that we have planned for this year.

Our first Messy Church of the academic year will be held on the 21st October and we very much look forward to seeing you there.
